Chapter 16
"What is your relationship with Arashi?" A reporter asked Emi. Emi, the director and Arashi were at a press conference for their movie. "Based on the novel, "Our Promise" by the late Mizushima Ken. We're friends." The reporter nodded and another reporter stood up to ask her another question. "Which Arashi member is your ideal guy?" The reporter smirked and Emi smiled. "Sakurai-san. He is smart and sometimes funny. But on the downside, he is too smart for me... Maybe my ideal guy is Jun.." Emi giggled and turned her face to Sho. He was upset but then Emi stuck out her tongue.
"Is the movie exactly like the novel?" Jun nodded and said. " The story of the movie is exactly like the novel. We hope that you will like the movie." The reporter smiled and sat down. "This is the last question for the cast of "Our Promise". " A employee said through the mircophone and the reporter walked towards the mircophone. "Nakama-san, are you planning to act in more movies or will this be your last performance as an actor?" The lady reporter smiled and was ready to write in her notepad.
"I haven't decided if I want to contiune my acting. This is my first movie and it might be my last. For now, I want to concentrate on the present and not the future." The reporters were talking among themselves and Sho suddenly spoke into the mircophone. "I have some news that I want to announce. As you know, the release of the movie had to be delayed until now. Before my busy life as an idol, I was engaged to someone. That person broke our engagement, thinking that it was the right thing to do. I want to tell that person my answer to her question." The crowd roared with voices, talking about Sho and his "engagement".
Sho looked over at Emi and walked towards her. Arashi and everyone moved to the side while Emi stood there frozen. Sho got down on his knees and said. "I love you. Will you marry me again, Nakama Emi-san?" The reporters and crowd screamed and gasped. The reporters were taking photos and filming the whole scene. Emi nodded in excitement and Sho pulled out the ring that he gave to her a few years ago.
Sho placed the ring on Emi's finger and everyone surrounded them. "Emi-chan, congrats!" Jun said. Emi nodded and she looked at Sho. Emi whispered to Sho. "Nice way of telling everyone we know and the whole country..." Sho shrugged his shoulders and said. "Well, you wanted both of us to be together when the news was announced.." Emi sighed and smiled. "Baka!" Emi kissed him on the lips and he kissed her back.
Aiba and Ohno were standing together and Aiba asked Ohno. "Are you happy that Emi-chan and Sho-chan are getting married?" Ohno nodded and Aiba asked. "Are you okay, leader?" Ohno nodded his head again and said. "I have an urge to go fishing today.." Aiba patted his back and said. "How about we handle these two love fish first?" Ohno nodded again and smiled. "Masaki! Masaki!" Aiba heard Emi calling him. "Congrats, Emi-chan. So, when is the wedding?" Emi giggled and said. "Gomen, for all those stuff I said earlier. I lost my memory and the only thing that was in my head was you. I'll love you and always be your best friend." Aiba smiled and hugged Emi.
Both Emi and Sho walked out of the banquet hall to find more reporters trying to find out about their wedding. "Sho, what should I say to them?" Emi whispered to Sho. Emi was happy but at the same time, angry, because he announced to the whole country of their engagement. While Sho was thinking of what to say to them, his cell phone rang. He picked up his phone and answered. Emi saw him nodding and saying "Hai." The reporters were there looking at him. They wanted to know why Sho looked so serious on the phone.
