Chapter 12

Emi was in her hospital bed. Aiba decided to stay with Emi's mother while everyone else had to leave for something important they had to do. Aiba held Emi's hand the whole time. The doctors did not know when she will wake up.

In the morning, Aiba was sleep beside Emi when she woke up. Emi poked Aiba's head and giggled. He woke up to see Emi smiling. "Emi-chan! You're awake!" She nodded and looked around the room. Her mother had left to get clothes so they were alone. "Why am I at the hospital?" Aiba looked to the side and said. "You're here for a check-up." Emi poked his cheek and said. "I missed you, Masaki." Emi leaned over and kissed Aiba on the cheek. Aiba blushed and quickly went out of the room.

Emi's mother came back to the hospital and notice that Aiba was outside of Emi's room. "Masaki-kun, daijobu?" Aiba looked up and saw Aiba bright red. "Did Emi wake up?" Aiba nodded and sat on the bench beside him. Emi's mother looked through the window and notice Emi looking outside of her window. "Masaki-kun, I know this news is hard to handle but do me a favour. Please don't let Emi's memory break your friendship with her. I'm assuming that she has no memory of the movie and everything that had happened when she came back from Canada. Be patience with her and help her overcome her illness." Emi's mother put her hand on his shoulder and then she went into the room.

Aiba put one of his hand on the cheek where Emi kissed him. He messed up his hair a bit and then tried to think of ways of helping Emi. Not for his own sake but for Emi's true feelings. Aiba smacked his cheeks with his hands and went into the room. "Masaki!" Emi shouted. Aiba smiled and closed the door. "Are you hungry? I can get a nurse to give you food." Emi shook her head and Aiba sat in a chair beside her. "Okaa-san told me that I have to stay in the hospital for a few more days. Aiba nodded his head and said. "When I'm free, I'll come visit you. I know you'll get lonely and sad easily." Emi giggled and Emi's mother just sighed. Hoping that Emi's heart won't break again.

"Emi is awake?" Jun asked. Aiba nodded his head and everyone was happy. "There's a problem though.." Aiba muttered under his breath. "What is it, Aiba-chan?" Ohno asked. Aiba looked at him and everyone became quiet. "Emi-chan has no memory of the movie and everything before that." Everyone looked at each other and Aiba turned his head at Sho. "Sho-kun.. Emi-chan thinks that her and I are still dating.." Sho widened his eyes and then he just stood there lifeless.

"After the filming tomorrow, we should go visit Emi-chan. Help her try to remember her role for the movie and more." Aiba suggested. Everyone nodded and Jun, Ohno and Nino left the room. Aiba and Sho were left alone and Aiba knew that Sho was devastated by the news. "Sho-kun, I have a confession to make." Sho glared at Aiba.

"When Emi-chan called my name. I was really happy. In the past, you knew we dated and it didn't turn out good. My feelings back then had never changed and I hope you can understand. I still love Emi-chan and I always will but..." Aiba stopped and played with his hands. "But what?" Sho asked. "I know deep inside of Emi-chan's heart, she loves you. I know that both of you are meant for each other but I will never stop my feelings for her for your sake. I don't want our emotions for Emi-chan, to break our friendship." Aiba stuck out his right hand and Sho looked at him. Furrowing his eyebrows, he shook hands with Aiba and then knew that they cannot hurt each other for Emi.
